Software

1 – Software Package AIRY

Software Package AIRY logo

The Software Package AIRY (Astronomical Image Restoration in interferometrY) is oriented to the reconstruction of interferometric images and it is also applicable to the case of a single dish telescope.
It can be used both for the reconstruction and for the simulation of astronomical images. AIRY is written in IDL and must be used together with the CAOS Application Builder.

2 – Software Package AIRY-LN

The Software Package AIRY-LN is developed for LINC-NIRVANA (LN), the interferometric camera of the Large Binocular Telescope (LBT) and it is oriented to the reconstruction of the LN images. It can be used in a simulation program for reconstructing images generated by means of AIRY.

3 – PATCH

The Software PATCH is a tool for the deblurring of post-AO images characterized by space-variant PSFs. It is based on the assumption that the PSF smoothly varies across the image domain. The image is decomposed into sub-domains (or “patches”), then each sub-domain is separately reconstructed by means of a deconvolution method and the final image is obtained as a mosaic of the results.
